Once, there was a woman who was afraid.
She feared many, many things, but most of all,
she feared her own wild nature.
Her own magic.
So she hid.
Hid from the wild world and her own wild wisdom.

But her wild, magical nature could not be contained...
It would break free every now and then - at first in scratches and whimpers.
And then in deafening howls and gulping bites.
Her wildness clamoured for truth and magic and ocean and mountain.
Her wild nature howled so loud it drove her from her hiding place.
Slowly, she began to remember her magic...

She nervously peered into the wild world beyond her hiding place.
It seemed to recognise her.
Somehow, she felt like she knew this place.
It felt like waking up from a thousand-year sleep.
She listened to the breeze when it spoke of things to come.
She greeted the plant spirits in the garden every morning and evening.
She thanked her ancestors over and over.
Trees took her pain and let her rest with them.
She remembered her love of the sun and the stars.

She no longer dismissed her intuition, even when it was difficult to follow it.
She spent time with the sea and heard it's thoughts.
Now she trusts herself.
She embraces her wisdom, her power, her relationship with the wild world.
She knows when to let herself dance and when to curl up and rest.
She knows when to gather her wits about her, folding them around her like a shawl.

She knows her magic is her birthright.
She remembers the healing effect of salt water and lets tears fall or lets the ocean wash certain pain away.
She sees other women who are still afraid.
When they are ready, she offers them her hand.
